2023 Global Inclusion in Insurance: A Catalyst for Industry Transformation
The Power of Inclusion in Insurance
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) is set to host its Inclusion in Insurance Global Conference from June 13-15 at the New York Hilton Midtown. This event marks the first in-person international gathering since the 2019 Women in Insurance Global Conference, bringing together hundreds of insurance professionals, C-suite executives, and experts on leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Emerging Topics and Expert Speakers
The conference will feature emerging topics in leadership, personal and professional growth, the business of insurance, and the future of work. Notable speakers include Jean Chatzky on Personal Finance, Emily Donahoe on Building the Public Voice of Women, and Chris Desantis on Navigating Intergenerational Differences. Industry topics will be covered by Ed Majkowski of EY, Hank Watkins of Lloyd’s, and Brenda Austenfield of RT Specialty.
Advancing Ideas into Action
Elizabeth Myatt, vice president, chief program officer, and executive director of the IICF Northeast Division, emphasizes the importance of advancing DEI, which must be embedded in everything in the business. She notes that while progress has been made in gender diversity and for African-Americans, more work is needed within the Hispanic community. The conference aims to provide tools and new thinking to arm the audience with ways to make change, whether it’s personal, professional, or cultural.
